Visa / Mastercard Class Action Lawsuit

This opportunity concerns a class action settlement – the “Payment Card Interchange Fee Settlement” – involving Visa and Mastercard. This class action was brought on behalf of business merchants who alleged that Visa or Mastercard violated the law because they set interchange fees on credit or debit card transactions from January 1, 2004, to January 25, 2019.
Both Visa and Mastercard denied the allegations, but agreed to this class action settlement to avoid the cost and litigation of a long court trial. As a result, they have agreed to reimburse businesses for the interchange fees incurred during those years.
This $5.5 billion settlement in the class action lawsuit offers a massive opportunity for commissions.
But time is tight! The deadline for businesses to submit a claim is August 30, 2024.
